Rules governing the use of the Metro Dumaguete College Library OPAC
By accessing and using the Metro Dumaguete College Library Online Public Access Catalog (MDC Library OPAC), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue use of the system immediately.
The MDC Library OPAC is intended for use by:
Borrowing privileges are available exclusively to registered students, faculty, and staff with valid school IDs. Guest users may search the catalog but may not place holds or borrow materials.
Users agree to use the MDC Library OPAC only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. The following are strictly prohibited:
Users who register for a library account are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any activity performed under a user's account is the sole responsibility of that user. Users must notify the library immediately at mdclibrary2@gmail.com if they suspect unauthorized use of their account.
Borrowing of library materials is subject to the MDC Library's existing circulation policies, including loan periods and renewal limits. Users are responsible for returning materials on or before the due date indicated in their account. Materials not returned on time are marked overdue in the system, and failure to comply may result in suspension of borrowing privileges.
All content displayed in the MDC Library OPAC, including catalog records, system design, and institutional branding, is the property of Metro Dumaguete College or its respective rights holders. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of any content is prohibited.
Metro Dumaguete College reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user's access to the OPAC system at any time, without prior notice, for violations of these Terms and Conditions or for any conduct deemed harmful to the College, its library, or its community.
These Terms and Conditions may be revised at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the OPAC announcement banner. Continued use of the system constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from the use of the MDC Library OPAC shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Negros Oriental.
